About the title
A Kazakhstani thriller made in screenlife format. The story follows 19-year-old student Chingiz, who installs a surveillance camera in the entrance of his apartment building to monitor what happens around him. At first the footage shows only the ordinary life of the neighbors, but one day the camera captures a brutal crime: two men attack a stranger and drag him into an apartment. Chingiz realizes he has become the sole witness to what happened, and faces a difficult choice - to intervene and put his own life in danger, or to remain a silent observer behind the door. Unexpected help comes from Aliya, a call center employee, with whom he tries to figure out what happened and find a way to help the victim. Almost the entire action unfolds through computer screens, surveillance cameras, and digital devices, creating an effect of direct presence and gradually intensifying the tension.
