About the title
A priest buys a café in a remote town to help people. Young clergyman Andrei arrives in a provincial town. He sincerely tries to show people what love for one's neighbor means, listening to their tangled stories. However, people embittered against the local powers-that-be are not looking for love, but for protection. Andrei then decides to buy a small café that is set to be demolished to make way for a casino. He crosses paths with dangerous people, putting his life at risk. But even hardened criminals end up standing up for a good and righteous man.
