About the title
Barry Egan has had really bad luck. Being the eighth child in a family where all the other children are girls is not a fate for the faint of heart. It's no surprise that, overshadowed by his seven clearly domineering sisters, who strictly stifled all his attempts at romantic relationships, the guy grew up a terrible neurotic full of complexes.
