About the title
Astronaut Ryland Grace wakes up on a spaceship, remembering neither himself nor his mission. Gradually, he comes to realize that he is the sole survivor of a crew sent to the Tau Ceti solar system in search of a way to save Earth from catastrophe. In his search for answers, Ryland will have to rely on his vast scientific knowledge, resourcefulness, and willpower — but perhaps he won't have to search alone.
