Keller Dover faces every parent's worst nightmare: his six-year-old daughter has disappeared along with her friend. Time is running out, the girls don't return, and panic reaches its peak. The only lead is a dilapidated van that was parked on their street while the girls were playing in the yard. Detective Loki, who is leading the investigation, arrests its driver, Alex Jones, but police are soon forced to release him for lack of evidence.
