About the title
Maria leads a modest life as a teacher, raising her young daughter alone. One day a new student appears in her life and draws her in with his talent. He returns her feelings, and they grow closer and closer. But just as these feelings are about to turn into love, it turns out the man is married. Despite an unhappy marriage, he isn't ready to leave his family because he loves his son very much. And Maria, out of principle, isn't ready to date a married man.
