About the title
The story unfolds within the walls of a house that new tenants have just moved into. Rebekah, Chris, and their children Tyler and Chloe are a fairly ordinary family coping with troubles familiar to many. Rebekah is a workaholic and a strict mother; frustrations at work make her increasingly snap at her daughter, forcing Chris to take Chloe's side — the girl is especially sensitive right now, having recently lost two friends. And it's Chloe who is the first to notice a presence of something otherworldly in their new home. 'Presence' (2024) is a horror thriller directed by Steven Soderbergh, starring Lucy Liu. The film premiered at the 2024 Sundance Festival.
