About the series
25-year-old car thief Tsygan lives in a provincial town centered around a precious metals processing plant. Twenty years ago, his father died at this plant, allegedly implicated in the theft of gold bars. The investigation was quietly shelved, so Tsygan is eager to find the killer and avenge his father, whom he barely remembers. When the plant's former director and the town's unofficial boss, Leonid Maksimovich, turns up, they must join forces to get to the truth and see justice done — though each of them understands justice differently.
