About the title
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, "post mortem" photography — pictures taken after death in memory of deceased loved ones — became widespread. Photographer Thomas is invited to a village devastated by the Spanish flu epidemic. He soon learns that the place is cursed and that otherworldly forces give the locals no peace. He and a 10-year-old orphan named Anna must uncover the intentions of the ghosts and confront the greatest horror of their lives.
