About the title
A large family — parents, three brothers, and a sister — gathers to celebrate a birthday. It would seem like a wonderful reason to come together. But the family is actually just a project devised by one of the "brothers" — an experienced psychologist conducting an experiment to create a "formula for happiness." He believes that manipulating those around him, their emotions and desires, will make them happy. However, love interferes with his mathematical calculations — something that can be neither calculated nor predicted.
