About the title
An eccentric comedy about how the Soviet steamship "Yevgeny Onegin," carrying tigers and lions for a zoo, ended up with its predators loose on deck after a monkey given to the crew as a pet opened their cages. But among the crew was a sweet, modest stewardess named Marianna, who loved and understood animals very well. The girl brought the animals under her control, and after all sorts of adventures, the tigers took their places back in the cages.
