About the title
A wooden boy looks for a way to become human to win the heart of a circus performer. A family fairy tale full of humor and magic. Young Pinocchio, carved by the carpenter Geppetto, runs away from his brilliant maker's home to see the world and falls in with a traveling circus run by the cunning showman Mangiafuoco. Turning the talking puppet Pinocchio into the star of his circus show, he fills packed houses in every town, while his accomplices Cat and Fox rob the townsfolk's homes. But Pinocchio has no idea any of this is happening. He falls in love with the young aerial acrobat Bella, Mangiafuoco's adopted daughter. But Pinocchio has no chance of winning her heart, since he's a puppet, not a human. The old clown Fantozzi advises Pinocchio to go to the sorceress Lucilda, who knows how to help him.
