About the title
Kind-hearted but lonely woodcarver Geppetto (Tom Hanks) has always dreamed of having children. He has carved countless different toys, imagining that one day his own children would play with them. Years passed, and Geppetto never started a family. Then one day, sitting by his window, he made a wish that one of his creations would come to life. Hearing the woodcarver's words, the Blue Fairy (Cynthia Erivo) decided to grant his wish and turned the wooden puppet Pinocchio (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) into a real boy, asking the cricket Jiminy (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) to become his conscience so he would grow up honest and kind. Another adaptation of Carlo Collodi's children's tale about a little wooden boy named Pinocchio, whose nose grows whenever he lies.
