About the title
The film's protagonist is Hirayama, a Tokyo toilet cleaner. He seems content with his simple life. He leads a structured daily routine and devotes his free time to his passion for music and books. Hirayama also loves trees and photographs them. Gradually, his past is revealed through a series of unexpected encounters.
