About the title
The 1940s, at the height of World War II. Many years later, Tommy Shelby, leader of one of the most dangerous street gangs, returns to bombed-out Birmingham, where he once left his son behind. The son has followed in his footsteps and is now caught up in a secret conspiracy. Shelby faces the hardest test of his life, as the fate of his son and the future of the entire country hang in the balance.
