About the title
The spaceship Starship Avalon is transporting 5,259 people to a colony on a distant planet. Two passengers wake up and realize they are trapped on the ship, with 90 years of travel still remaining until their destination. Aurora Dunn is a writer from New York interested in space travel. Jim Preston is a mechanical engineer from Denver who wanted to leave Earth and bought a ticket on the ship. They soon discover that the malfunction that caused them to wake up early is not the only problem threatening the enormous spaceship. Trying to find a way out, together they must save the ship and its passengers from disaster.
