About the title
Writer Sylvie lives alone and watches her neighbors through a telescope, turning their lives into a novel. In her book she adds drama, passion, jealousy, and betrayal to their relationships. Meanwhile, an assistant named Adam appears in her own life. He falls in love with Nita, who lives across the way, and to impress her, copies Sylvie's manuscript and passes it off as his own. The line between fiction and reality blurs. But it turns out the real people behind the novel and the relationships between them are nothing like what Sylvie imagined.
