About the title
A desperate businessman robs a bank and, fleeing from the police, takes the patrons of a nearby café hostage. Among them are a spiteful baker, an extravagant prostitute, an elderly woman with a weak heart, and an undocumented immigrant. The robber begins negotiating with the police, but at the same time, a struggle for survival breaks out inside the café.
