About the series
Maria Trifonova is a true "old-school" math teacher, the last "Teacher of the Year of the USSR." In her classes, children don't just fear taking out their phones — they barely breathe without permission. Unexpectedly, she finds herself at an elite school — all for the chance to reconnect with her only granddaughter, whom she hasn't seen for years due to a conflict with her daughter. Maria encounters an unfamiliar approach to teaching: here, freedom, technology, and spoiled rich kids reign. Now she must instill a love of mathematics in the modern generation and find common ground with those closest to her.
