About the title
Fainting at a friend's wedding — only poor Charlie is capable of that: any strong (and especially positive) emotions instantly send him into unconsciousness. Is it really a life, spent constantly making sure not to feel too much? It gets even harder when Charlie meets the beautiful Francesca, the girl of his dreams. It's hard to fulfill a dream when love and joy are things forbidden to you for medical reasons.
