About the title
The hopeless romantic Bear has long been secretly, unrequitedly in love with the beautiful Nicky. One day in an esoteric shop he finds a strange trinket — a magic wand. If you break it, your cherished wish will come true. Bear wishes for Nicky to love him more than anyone else in the world. And lo, a miracle — the girl really does fall in love with him. But his happiness soon comes to an end: Nicky is literally obsessed with him, and her displays of attention grow increasingly frightening. It turns out the guy's wish came true, but not at all the way he dreamed it would.
