About the title
A biographical film about a woman named Diana Nyad, who was once a professional swimmer. She also dreamed of completing a marathon swim that would let her set a record and make herself known to the whole world. But she had to give up that dream in favor of a career in journalism. Now Diana is sixty years old, but her old passion for swimming has never left her. One day, she realizes that she simply has to make her youthful dream come true. She needs to swim exactly 110 miles, covering the distance between Florida and Cuba. Realizing she can't manage it alone, she turns to her best friend, who still works as a coach, for help. Will Diana manage to complete such a crazy journey, avoid unwanted encounters with sea creatures, and achieve lasting fame?
