About the title
Karaganda, the 2000s. The wild '90s are over, but rampant crime hasn't gone anywhere. Four friends, ordinary guys from the outskirts led by Sam, are enchanted by criminal romanticism and want easy money. So they become part of the local gang, made up of people who have been through a lot. The guys quickly get a taste for it, since there's plenty of money and fun in the criminal world — but just as much crime and cruelty. Sam's harsh but fragile world is put at risk when he falls in love with a girl from a nightclub.
