About the title
The journey begins above the surface of the Earth—viewers will experience the full sensation of free flight through a 30-kilometer layer of atmosphere. Then you'll reach the surface level—the Earth's crust—and learn how the high temperature inside the Earth caused this layer to fracture into separate continental sections known as tectonic plates. "Inside Planet Earth" takes viewers deeper and deeper, thousands of kilometers into the Earth, where you'll learn about life forms capable of surviving despite radiation, and about the Earth's core, where there is no gravitational force.
