About the title
Yegor is in the sixth grade and lives with his father Oleg, who is raising his son alone. They share a common passion for radio communication: despite being constantly away, Oleg gets on the radio with Yegor every day. The father works on a rotational basis in Ust-Kut, and his next shift begins on December 30. At the appointed time the signal doesn't come, and their usual contact is broken. Realizing this could mean trouble, Yegor decides to act on his own. He sets out to search for his father, not counting on adults' help and relying on his own determination and knowledge.
