About the title
Würzburg, 1838. Despite the bad feeling of his wife Ellen, who has been plagued by visions since childhood, Thomas travels to eastern Bohemia to close a real estate deal with the eccentric old Count Orlok, hoping to advance his career. He becomes the prisoner of the cunning count, who turns out to be a blood-sucking undead creature, while Ellen's affliction increasingly resembles possession.
