About the title
A powerful explosion suddenly drags a massive oil platform to the bottom of the North Sea. Having determined the cause of the disaster, a group of scientists realize it was only the beginning. The largest underwater fissure in history threatens to collapse dozens of platforms in the area and strike the entire coastline. An evacuation is announced, but a small rescue mission sets out toward the epicenter of the disaster to save a hero trapped there. They don't yet know that the resulting oil slick is about to catch fire, and they will have to make their way out across a boundless burning sea.
