About the title
Neznaika finds a rock on the street and believes that this rock fell from the Moon. He gives it to Znaika. The next day, Znaika notices that when a magnetic field acts on the rock, it creates weightlessness. Znaika decides to build a rocket and fly to the Moon with the other Shorties, after first making a bet with astronomer Steklyashkin about whether there is life on the Moon or not. Before the flight to the Moon, Neznaika steals the weightlessness device and nearly drowns it in the river. Because of this, Znaika refuses to take him to the Moon, but Neznaika decides to hide in the rocket and fly there without permission.
