About the title
At the center of the events of "Need for Speed" is Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul), an auto mechanic and part-time street racer who is framed by his business partner Dino (Dominic Cooper). Imprisoned on an unjust charge, the hero of "Need for Speed" is released two years later with an overwhelming desire for revenge. His only chance to achieve this is to beat his rival Dino in a high-stakes race — the underground street racing Super Cup. Very little time remains for him to make it to this race. But Tobey, along with his loyal crew, seizes every chance, true to his determination to prove that even in the glamorous world of supercars, the loser can still come in first.
