About the title
Having gone through a difficult divorce, Melanie decides to take her son to a remote island to spend Christmas there. They settle into an old lighthouse, but in her haste Melanie didn't familiarize herself with all the terms. She'll have to learn about the additional conditions of her stay at the lighthouse from its rather grumpy but charming-in-his-own-way owner.
