About the title
A Russian film crew arrives in Varanasi to shoot an art-house film. The atmosphere of the ancient city prompts reflection on the meaning of what's happening, on the essence of cinema, and on values usually taken for granted and left undiscussed. Before long the shoot begins to fall apart, as the lead actor meets a girl on the street and decides to travel with her to another part of India instead of continuing filming.
