About the title
1974, Angola — just a year before the country gains independence after decades of Portuguese rule. Wealthy colonists are leaving the country as Angolan revolutionaries gradually reclaim their lands. A girl from a local tribe falls in love with a Portuguese soldier. Meanwhile, another group of soldiers, completely cut off from the outside world, blindly follows their commander's brutal orders in the name of their homeland.
