About the series
Denis Dubov is a former forensic expert who lost his job because of an affair with a general's wife. Now he works as a cleaner, handling crime-scene cleanups. While cleaning up another apartment, Dubov realizes he has become part of a criminal scheme: his hands are being used (literally) to cover someone's tracks. Realizing it will be hard to get out of this game alive, Denis sets a condition for the investigation: he will testify against the criminals in exchange for a place in the witness protection program. After receiving new documents, he moves to a seaside town and immediately becomes a murder suspect. To avoid being exposed — and, more importantly, to avoid prison — the hero decides to conduct his own investigation and prove his innocence. Together with police captain Diana Nechaeva and her assistant Gaidukov, Denis Dubov will have to carry out more than one investigation, since the investigators will need his forensic expertise again and again.
