About the title
After an accident, ten-year-old Ilya falls into a coma. His father Andrei keeps watch at his son's bedside in the hospital, but the attending physician informs him that the boy will have to be taken off life support — it's the law. Andrei offers money, tries to convince the doctor to wait, but it's all in vain. Then Andrei wheels the gurney with Ilya, still connected to the machine, into the first ward he finds, barricades the door, and, holding a gun, takes the doctor and a nurse hostage. Andrei gave his son his word as a man that he would save him, and he intends to keep it.
