About the title
1934. Private detective Miranda Green travels to Cairo to investigate a murder committed in an inviolable place — the British embassy in Cairo, from which a top-secret document was stolen that same night. All embassy staff are under suspicion, as are those present in this closed setting — an American photographer, an English student, an American actress, an Egyptian guard, a gardener, and the ambassador himself.
