About the title
Another gathering of sixteen-year-old Jeong-hee's family on the anniversary of her grandmother's death ends, as usual, in a scandal. Tempers flare at the table, accusations fly, followed by an oppressive silence. The truth is that the girl's grandfather once left home, and her grandmother never even tried to find him before taking her own life. Jeong-hee's mother hates her father to death and struggles with alcohol addiction. Though a grown woman, she behaves more like a moody teenager than a support for her own daughter. After getting some clues that might lead her to her grandfather, Jeong-hee begins her search. She hopes that the truth she uncovers will finally bring long-awaited peace to her family.
