About the title
2003, a small town in Maine. Lonely elderly billionaire Mr. Harrigan hires Craig, a boy who recently lost his mother, to read classic novels to him aloud. This is how a friendship begins between the boy and the old man. Five years later, now a high schooler, Craig gives the old man an iPhone, and Harrigan becomes an enthusiastic user of the latest piece of technology. When Mr. Harrigan dies, the grief-stricken boy places the phone in his coffin. The next day, he receives a text message from him.
