About the title
Constant lack of money, dilapidated housing, a mustached, nasty girlfriend — such is the life of Lyokha, a laborer in the small provincial town of Uletnoye. He has long since come to terms with everything and simply drifts along. Everything changes when a man from the capital shows up in town. No matter what it takes, he wants to rent the run-down apartment of a deceased homeless poet who used to write crazy poems about how Moscow doesn't exist.
