About the series
1830. After Jane Austen's death, her sister Cassandra goes to visit her friend Isabella, secretly hoping to find in the house letters from the late wife of the master of the house — Eliza, who had a long correspondence with Jane. Cassandra is convinced that, if they fall into the wrong hands, these letters could destroy the great writer's reputation.
