About the series
Adrien and Marinette are high schoolers, seemingly just like everyone else. At the slightest threat to Paris, they transform into Ladybug and Cat Noir. Their mission is to capture akumas (dark butterflies) that turn people into supervillains. When the heroes team up, neither knows the other's true identity. Marinette doesn't know that Cat Noir is actually Adrien — the boy she's secretly in love with — while Adrien, whose heart beats for Ladybug, doesn't know that beneath the superheroine's mask hides a sweet, scatterbrained classmate.
