About the title
A family of mallards is in a bind: while father Mack Mallard is content that his family will always be safe living on a pond in New England, mother Pam is eager to shake things up and show her children — teenage son Dax and little daughter Gwen — just how big and varied the world can be. After a family of migrating ducks lands on their pond with thrilling stories of faraway places, Pam persuades Mack to embark on a family journey through New York to tropical Jamaica. But it would all be too simple if their plans were meant to go smoothly.
