About the title
From birth, Matilda was very different from her parents — a shady dad who sells used cars, and a mom interested only in television and her own looks — thanks to her extraordinary intelligence and kindness. The girl learned to read very early, and soon there wasn't a single unread book left in the house, although her father thought television could easily replace books for her. At school, Matilda developed truly incredible abilities — she discovered a gift for moving objects and people whenever she or someone else was mistreated. And the main culprit was the school's cruel headmistress. An adaptation of the work by Roald Dahl.
