About the title
A former police officer, accused of a crime he allegedly did not commit, is about to commit suicide by jumping off the roof of a New York hotel. He agrees to talk only to negotiator officer Lydia Mercer. Tension rises with every minute as crowds of onlookers and special forces units gather in the square.
