About the title
1960s, France. Little Roland is only five years old. However, unlike other boys, he doesn't play on the playground, doesn't run races, and in general almost never leaves the apartment. His whole life is on the TV screen and in the hands of his mother, who is the one restricting the boy. So why is that? All the Parisian doctors keep assuring the mother of five children, Esther Perez, that her sixth son Roland will never be able to walk. But she has no intention of listening to them. Esther is ready to cure her son at any cost.
