About the title
Early 20th century. Spanish landowners are settling Chilean lands seized by force. Among them is José Menéndez, who plans to open a safe route from his own fields to the sea in order to drive sheep along it. He entrusts the exploration of this territory to Alexander MacLennan, a former lieutenant from Scotland, and to Bill, a mercenary from Texas. They are assisted by Segundo, a mestizo who shows remarkable skill with a rifle. Along the way, he must endure the abuse of the racist Bill and the attacks of the alcoholic MacLennan, but the worst is yet to come, since their task involves the brutal massacre of local tribes.
