About the title
Angèle moves from Côte d'Ivoire to Paris in search of a better life for herself and her son. By chance, she becomes a nanny for a wealthy family and meets other African immigrant women who, like her, are trying to earn enough to raise their children in decent conditions. After learning that the other nannies are suffering under slave-like working conditions, she takes matters into her own hands to solve the problem.
