About the title
The Farel family is known throughout France: Jean is a famous scientist, and his wife Claire is a writer known for her radical feminist views. They have a handsome son, Alexandre, a student at a prestigious American university. Coming to visit his parents, Alexandre meets Mila, the daughter of his mother's new partner. The young people easily find common ground and go to a party together. The next morning Mila accuses Alexandre of rape, thereby destroying his family's reputation and setting off an irreversible process of rehashing every detail of what happened, not only by the justice system but also by all the media, eager at all costs to find out who is telling the truth and who is lying.
