About the title
The story takes place in an autonomous community in northern Spain. It was here, a year ago, that a series of horrifying crimes was committed and solved by Inspector Amaia Salazar. Now the heroine is in the final month of her pregnancy, preparing to give birth. Despite this, Amaia doesn't go on maternity leave and keeps working. She is currently investigating the case of Jason Medina, accused of raping, mutilating, and murdering Johana Marquez. As the trial approaches, the criminal is found dead. The investigation establishes that Jason committed suicide, leaving behind a note with a single mysterious word.
