About the title
Hockey player Alexander Gorin and figure skater Nadezhda Lapshina, after a dazzling performance on the ice, decide to get married, leaving all their disagreements in the past. Soon Nadia bids farewell to professional sport and learns she is pregnant, while Sasha keeps playing for the local hockey team, trying to spend as much time as possible with his wife. The doctor monitoring the figure skater learns of her spinal injury and strongly recommends terminating the pregnancy, since childbirth could lead to serious complications and even death. Fearing she might become infertile, the young woman hides her conversation with the doctor from her husband and decides to take the risk.
