About the title
On June 8, 1924, British mountaineers George Mallory and Andrew Irvine vanished without a trace while attempting to conquer Everest. Seventeen years later, a Japanese reporter finds their camera in a shop in Nepal. He is drawn into a world obsessed with mountaineering as he tries to solve the mystery of the Britons' disappearance and, perhaps, settle the question of who made the first ascent.
